ARA Championships Round 2 – Roads Competitor Watch

As applicable to the past month’s Jurby Airfield (anticlockwise configuration) ARA (Andreas Racing Association) Championships season opener, the second series round of 2026 featured IOM roads scene alumni.

People’s Bike Team’s Grant Thomson vaulted his Jurby wins collection to nine, post authoritative victories in Post Classic, Pre-Injection contests.

Port St Mary’s Thomson finished no lower than third in all races, completed last weekend, with third place finishes x2 from Open Solo races, second place finishes from Supersport races (pipped to race wins by prospective Manx GP newcomer Kyle Casement) aside afore-mentioned encounter triumphs.

Same as during March’s 1000cc Jurby action, Jamie Cringle, Rory Parker duked it out for P1 finishes. This time it was Cosmic Racing’s Cringle turning the tables on last month’s double winner Parker, scooping victories x2 with under 0.2 of a second separating the No.1, No.39 plate carriers in the Open Solo Championship races.

Five top twenty-five TT finisher Paul Cassidy accumulated first three leader-board placings x3, Unrestricted Isle Racing’s Blake Kelly took third from the final Super Twins/Sportbike race.

Three-wheeling TT lap-record holders, four times TT winners the Crowe brothers Ryan & Callum recorded their first race win of 2026, winning the opening Sidecars contest by thirty-four seconds plus! (TT winner Darren Hope/Lenny Bumfrey second).

The second Sidecars race saw passenger Callum Crowe jump on board with TT 2022, TT 2025 competitor Craig Currie, emerge P1 again, with second place attainers Stu Bainborough/Will Beal, 19.539 seconds adrift.
