British Supersport race winner, top five Championship finisher in 2022 and 2023 Jaimie Van Sikkelerus, is planning to make his Mountain Course/TT racing debut in 2027.
Van Sikkelerus before a leg injury disruption, hoped to compete in this year’s TT Races, competing for TT wins record-holder Michael Dunlop MBE’s MD Racing team.
Back in August, the 2021 Dutch Supersport Champion, BeNeLux Trophy 1000cc races winner times two at last month’s BSB Assen meeting, sampled the Mountain Course Pilot Lap initiative on non-racing equipment alongside Richard Cooper, Carl Phillips, twice Daytona 200 winner Brandon Paasch and Dan Brooks.
Following this, the forty-three times a BSB race starter, originally from Curacao, spoke enthusiastically via his Instagram page:
“What a crazy feeling and enjoyed every single second! Massive thanks to the TT Races organisation for this opportunity.
I had this dream in mind for many years, but dreams only come true when you take that next step to make it reality and that’s what I did! And it won’t be my last time on this special island!”
