By Euro Moto series exponent Freddie Heinrich (Kawasaki Weber) looked a sure bet for IRRC Frohburg, Supersport second qualifying success, only for fellow event wildcard Paul Jordan (Jackson Racing Powered by Prosper2 – Ducati) to snatch pole via a-last-ditch lap of 1 minute 37.308 seconds.
0.276 separated Jordan and Heinrich (1.37.584) with third fastest, IRRC Supersport Championship leader Marek Cerveny (1.38.349 – WRP Wepol Racing – Triumph) an additional 0.765 in arrears.
Two more Czech aces ended fourth, fifth quickest, Petr Najman (1.39.091 – Festa Tools by Najmanmotorsport – Triumph) and Matej Vit (1.39.522 – TME Racing – Triumph).
Next up on the timing screens was Ilja Caljouw (1.40.283 – Performance Racing Achterhoek – Yamaha) followed ultra closely by Imatranajo Supersport races winner Gary ‘AKA Driver’ Johnson (1.40.296 – Schleizer Dreieck – Suzuki).
Concluding the SSP second qualifying top ten results sheet were Kevin De Haan (Never Be Clever Racing – Yamaha), Wolfgang ‘Wolfi’ Schuster (Schuster Road Racing – Triumph) and Wesley Ankersmid (Performance Racing Achterhoek – Yamaha).
