Originally halted, after fluids left from Oliver Dean’s incident at Mere Hairpin, the re-started, cut to four laps third HMH Civils Supersport (B) Race was tumultuous for Scotsman Shaun Buckle.
Buckle a top six finisher earlier in the year at Tandragee, garnered in proficient fashion, Oliver’s Mount race winners club membership, winning by a touch over 8.55 seconds.
Whelan Refining sponsored Jordan Poole bagged second, Oliver Macrae took third, fending off Brook Built Racing’s Ben Long and 25 plate-carrier Ryan Hose.
Super Twins Race 4:
Cracking the thirty wins barrier at Scarborough, Rob Hodson dominated the fourth and final Pub & Kitchen Super Twins encounter of this year’s Gold Cup event.
Navigating serenely wet conditions all-round, Hodson was 15.171 to the good over top chaser Ryan Dixon (TH Racing – Kawasaki) when competitive action rounded up.
Peter Hickman (Swan Racing/PHR Performance – Triumph) placed third whilst Banbridge’s Shaun Anderson (Moto Twelve Racing – CF Moto) showed again his wet weather riding acumen, finishing a strong fourth.
Twins Race Three winner Joey Thompson, challenge ended abruptly on lap one, crashing out at Mere Hairpin.
Ample consolation for Thompson was wrapping up the 2026 Oliver’s Mount Super Twins title.
Sidecars Race 4:
Victorious by 25 seconds plus, Kieran Clarke/Rob Coppock completed a quadruple of 80th Anniversary, Gold Cup Sidecar race triumphs.
Michael Russell/Alice Smith, who got the initial jump to P1 at Mere Hairpin, Sheene’s Rise, the Esses in and out, finished second with 2026 Oliver’s Mount Sidecars Champions by one point over Clarke/Coppock, now retired roads scene competitor Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden third.
Driver ‘Rammy’ Steve Ramsden, 25 times a race winner at Scarborough since 2010, before the weekends’ activities, had taken the decision to bring to a halt his distinguished real road racing career.
Classic Superbike/Two Strokes Race 4:
Doubling his Oliver’s Mount wins tally, Johnny Stewart’s standing in roads scene circles, enhanced furthermore via Potter Plant Hire Classic Superbike Race Four triumph.
Riding Roddy Taylor’s turquoise blue, white liveried Suzuki after problems with his own yesteryear Suzuki machine, Stewart the tour de force of the past month’s Manx Grand Prix, illustrated formidable form in beating Classic SBK races one, two and three winner Tom Weeden to first.
10.4 seconds covered Stewart and Weeden whilst last lap technical gremlins for Joey Thompson, allowed Paul Moir to bag third.
Sole Two Strokes speedster Chris Meyer acquired seventh overall behind Greg Haylott (sixth), the unlucky Thompson (fifth) and Steve Birtles (fourth).
Lightweights Race 4:
Ending Stephen Gorton’s Lightweights contests winning run, after a first-rate performance in difficult conditions to say the least, Dan Frear hauled the final Road Racing News Lightweights encounter.
Frear jockeying Roger Middleton’s proven RMKD Kawasaki, was a huge 16.54 ahead of afore-mentioned Leigh MOTs Kawasaki apparated Gorton.
Chris Meyer, Steven Allan pocketed 125/Moto 3, CB 500 field victories whilst Super Moto victory with Oliver’s Mount Racing Director Andy Hayes not competing went the way of Scarborough debutant Nick Cronin.
Supersport (B) Race 4:
Final race of the meeting, the fourth HMH Civils Supersport (B) Race saw Granite Moto supported Shaun Buckle on top again.
Tightly contested, 2.676 separated the top three of Buckle, 961 plate occupier Jack Sim and TT Races regular David Brook.
Closing out the leader-board top ten were Ben Long, Jack Crowley Mason, Sam Osborne, ‘Degsy’ Stephen Degnan, Ryan Hose, Brad Burn and Rad Hughes.
