Michael Sweeney (1.37.720) captivated those-trackside at the returning Skerries 100, as the local hero scooped Supersport qualifying victory ahead of TT wins record holder, Michael Dunlop MBE.
Dunlop MBE (1.38.057) not astride V2 Panigale Ducati tackle, was 0.337 slower than 65-plate carrier Sweeney.
Sean Brolly (1.40.396) finished third fastest, after an ultra-close fight with D&D Buckley Racing’s Marcus Simpson (1.40.355) and another local favourite Andy Farrell (1.40.395).
Roadhouse Macau team’s Brian McCormack (1.41.721) completed the timing screens top six.
Seventh to tenth sprightliest were Skerries debutant, Kells middleweight class winner Kevin Keyes (1.43.671), Shaun Buckle (1.43.827) fresh from positive results at Tandragee, Lee Hara (1.44.277) and Kevin Lavery (1.44.975).
Three more competitors registered representative lap-times, in the re-started SSP qualifying exploration, Road Racing News Sportbike and Glover Law Supersport Manx Grand Prix seeded rider Liam Chawke (1.47.984), Noel Carroll (1.49.750) and Jonathan Gormley (1.54.592).
