2026 Bergrennen Julbach Hill Climb: Sunday Race Results

Yesterday, IRRC Superbike experienced French rider Jean-Luc David claimed his fifth overall title crown at Julbach in Austria, after previous triumphs in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.

Luc-David finished fastest in both race heats (1.06.345/1.06.332), meaning a combined event time of 2 minutes 12.677 seconds.

Italian duo, Superstock 1000 category victor, young talent Gabriele Peticca (2.13.111 combined – heat times – 1.06.494/1.06.617), Manx Grand Prix regular Salvatore ‘Salvo’ Sallustro (2.13.543 combined – heat times – 1.07.088/1.06.454) ended top chasers to Luc-David.

Top Austrian rider was Landshaag race conqueror from April, IRRC 2024, Horice Superbike wildcard participant, Thomas Altenhuber (fourth, fifth best overall times recorded – Superstock 1000 runner-up, P3 – Superbike).

Another Austrian ace, Emanuel Riesinger (spotlighted in main article image – at last year’s Julbach edition) captured both 600cc titles (Supersport/Superstock 600).

Rapidest female exponent title went to thirty third place finisher in SSTK 1000 ranking, German rider Laura Leichtenstern (1.18.511).
