Gordon Huxley Racing’s Jonathan Perry, BMCRC-MRO (British Motorcycle Racing Club) Oulton Park racing stint concluded in scintillating fashion, with the 2016 Newcomers (B) Manx Grand Prix rostrum finisher storming to Powerbikes Race Three success.
Having sat out the previous 1000cc race held in wet conditions, Perry started today’s nine-lap race from sixteenth position.
Remarkably as the race started at 12:15 PM ended, the two times top fifteen TT finisher was thirteen and a half seconds (13.357 to be exact) ahead of second place clincher, fellow Honda equipped competitor Brendan Mallinder.
Fresh from victories x5 at the ARA Championships Jurby season opener, Grant Thomson’s prosperous early season form continued in earnest, adding a third-place finish to a prior P2 finish in yesterday’s afore-mentioned wet weather affected encounter.
Stanford Racing’s Jorge Halliday (top twenty-five Classic Superbike Manx GP finisher/top thirty-five TT finisher) took second in all three of the Easter weekend’s intertwined Sportbike/Super Twin races.
Castings Technology Motorsport’s Dan Ingham, Oliver’s Mount CB 500 Champion Shaun O’Hara (P3 – CB 500 Race 1), Martin Morris, were all accruing valuable extra track-time before upcoming roads scene adventures.
Same notion applied to Wayne Avis and Mark Parrett, as previously reported, setting sights on one hundred TT finishes goal in June.
