TT 2025: Post Race Reaction Edition 1

TT 2025, post-race reactions edition one.

RST X D3O Superbike Race:

Davey Todd – when asked how his Metzeler tyres performed.

“My Metzeler tyres, am consistent with my chance, often pick a lot harder choice than most of the guys use, honestly, it’s what I like, I get a consistent feeling, and I might not get the outright grip, but I get a good feeling from it, so am happy with that, happy with my Metzeler tyres.”

3wheeling.media Sidecar Race One:

Ben Birchall – when asked whether he felt he maximised the performance of his outfit.

“We excelled, we went quicker again, every time we go out, we’ve got quicker, can’t ask for any more than that, not an easy job.

The level the Crowes are at is a level me and Tom (Birchall) were at, and I know what it takes to get there, and people must appreciate that someone like Paddy to step into them shoes, it takes some doing.”

Patrick Rosney – buzzing about joining the TT podium finishers circle.

“Aye it’s brilliant, especially alongside Ben, then with the Crowes as well, it’s mint. It’s unreal, unreal.”

Lee Crawford – reflecting on a maiden TT rostrum attainment.

“It’s one of them I’ve heard it all day, this morning when I got up, I was a little bit nervous, I’ve dived around the paddock, spent time with probably every team in the paddock.

Just trying to keep my head right, two laps, three laps, knew it wouldn’t be easy because you seem to push to the length of the race, you know if it was three laps, I’d have reserved myself a bit in places.

But I struggled a bit towards the end, I was getting tired I’m not going to lie, this is to two and three laps around here is very difficult, there was a lot of wind over the mountain, so happy with the team and Scott’s just done an incredible job, so, happy.”

Scott Hardie – succinctly describing what it means to become a TT top three finisher.

“Yeah, it’s unreal to be honest but I’m just doing my job, hanging in there!”

Ryan Crowe – focusing on securing double race wins at TT 2025.

“The focus for the next one is just the race win, I didn’t chase the lap record, I did think when I was going, it would be nice to have it.

There in talks about making the engines go standard next year, so I think it very hard to beat that record on a standard engine.

When I felt like it was good, when I felt like it was flowing, I thought yeah let’s just go, keep the pace keep going and I got an idea what our lap time was on the first lap, so I knew that we would have been on record pace.”

Detailing how it felt like he was entering the flow state of mind, when setting a new three-wheeling TT record speed of 121.021 mph, he stated:

“You are in the flow state, nothing can distract you, your 110 percent focused on where you’re going and where you want the bike to go.

Gear position choice where and where to change gear, sometimes you don’t need to change gear, but you do just to keep it driving, it’s been a good day.”

Callum Crowe – adding his thoughts on he and his brothers’ record-breaking, history making achievement.

“Yeah, it’s quite an accomplishment, you’ve got think about the legends of that have had that coverage of saying that the likes of Tom Birchall and it’s an absolute privilege, it felt like the perfect lap, felt awesome, everything about it was great.

The TT is such a strange place, if you don’t look ragged, it usually means you’re going quite fast, were not short circuit riders and passengers, we are simply road racers, and I think we just proved it.”

Monster Energy Supersport Race One:

Michael Dunlop – on were winning on a Ducati, ranks in terms of his all-time TT accomplishments.

“It just ranks in wins, that’s what it is, each manufacturer brings another win, don’t get me wrong it’s lovely to do it on a new motorbike, that’s definitely for sure but at the end of the day, it’s the wins.”

James Hillier – issuing his reaction to been told, he is the first motorcycle racer in history, to finish the Dakar Rally and claim a TT rostrum in the same year.

“We’ll take that, that’s a good stat I just like riding motorbikes, that last lap really enjoyed, it was why I do it, made it all make sense and worth the effort and stress to get there.

It was a good do, I’ll sleep well tonight, see what we can do in the rest of the races.”
