Winner of the second Supersport C race of last weekend’s 68th Scarborough Gold Cup, County Durham’s Richard Telford is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News hugely popular, Oliver’s Mount Top 8 series.
Amongst the leading newcomers to North Yorkshire’s ‘Mini TT’ at July’s Barry Sheene Classic, his answers to the Scarborough themed set of questions are as follows:
Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?
“Watching about 16 years ago when I first passed my bike test, thinking this lot are crazy.”
Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?
“The atmosphere and being so close to the spectators.”
Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?
“I love it all but going up Sheene’s Rise and round the Esses is probably my favourite part.”
Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?
“Has to be winning Sunday’s Supersport C race.”

Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?
“Guy Martin”
Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?
“I’ve never rode one but would love to have a go in a Sidecar.”
Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?
“Mint”

“I don’t have one, I’ve got huge respect for anyone that races there.”
