Oliver’s Mount Top 8: Brad Vicars

Established amongst the leading next generation exponents of England’s sole, only real roads course, 2017 Newcomers A Manx GP winner Brad Vicars is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, growing in popularity Oliver’s Mount top 8 series.

Second, third within the Super Twin encounters at the Barry Sheene Road Race Festival meet from 2017, his answers to the Scarborough themed set of questions are as follows:

Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?

“To be fair I haven’t got a first memory of it, I just came with my dad.

The first time I ever went around this place, was on a Wednesday night and my dad did about 30 or 40 laps in a van, prior to the race weekend that he first ventured to, so that’s my first memory of it.”

Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?

“Little bit different, bit closer than everywhere else we go, it’s a little bit different.”

Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?

“Start line to the finish line, if that counts!”

Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?

“The one race I’ve really enjoyed around here, was with James Cowton, I was on a 600, he was on just battling away with me on his 650, we had a really good race that day. Think it might have been at the Cock O’The North.”

Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?

“Hard one that, I’ll say Barry Sheene.”

Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?

“RG500 Suzuki”

Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?

“Gnarly”

Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?
