By Whilst the Gold Cup title deserted him, Milenco by Padgetts Davey Todd, had recorded by far the fastest lap time of the 70th Scarborough Gold Cup.
During the third Supersport A race, Todd lapped at 1 minute 45.756 seconds, which was almost two seconds faster than second quickest overall, triple Lightweight race winner Jim Hind (1.47.692).
Gold Cup winner Adam McLean (1.47.696) was the final racer to lap sub 1.48 seconds whilst remaining competitors to register lap times below 1.50 seconds were Rob Hodson (1.48.498), Derek Sheils (1.48.775) and Joey Thompson (1.49.785).
Seventh quickest overall, speediest Scarborough debutant was Manxman Joe Yeardsley (1.50.980).
In total 19 racers across Saturday, Sunday’s competitive action banked lap times in the 1.52 seconds bracket or better.
