By Coinciding with the 63rd 300 Curves of Gustav Havel in Horice, the Mont Landard, Chanaz public roads 1.1 miles long course (55th edition), hosted the first round of this season’s ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’.
Taking fastest racer reigns was Superbike category, overall winner, Supersport Champion from last season, Hugo Grange-Martin (1.08.229) with second, third quickest times achieved by SSP class conqueror Joffray Lelievre (1.08.670 – SBK / 1.09.314 – Supersport).
The Supersport field at Chanaz additionally contained female riders Julie Benard (P24 – 1.22.093), Landshaag time-trial experienced this year Julie ‘Juju’ Orlando (P26 – 1.24.519) and Celia Berardi (P27 – 1.26.804).
Never Be Clever Racing’s Amalric Blanc, France’s fastest TT exponent, event lap-record from 2021 (1.06.661) still stands.
Three-times national French hill-climb Champion Blanc, Optimark Road Racing’s Eddy Ferre, 2021 IRRC Supersport Champion Pierre-Yves Bian and Timothee Monot, Wayne Bourgeais headline France’s TT 2026 presence.
The next ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’ round will be at Marchaux (13rd-14th June), it means the same dates as the second round of European Hill Climb Road Race Championship at Julbach, Austria, second round of IRRC at Chimay (4EVO Young Trophy), Jicin Classic and ´Internationales Schleizer Dreieckrennen´ racing events.
