Returning after twenty-three years, the Plumeliau, Brittany, France located hill-climb track hosted last week (5th July – same time as 60th Imatranajo edition) ‘Championnat De Bretagne Vitesse’ competition.
According to information from organisers (Moto Club de Queven), there was around three thousand spectators in attendance.
Overall fastest racer laurels went to Jules Boyer (46.313), winner of both SBK and SSP categories whilst third within the Supersport field, was chalked up by three-times bronze replica collector at TT 2026, popular French Mountain Course regular, Timothee Monot (48.660).
Sidecar, Open class winners were World Sidecars experienced Philippe Le Bail/Oceane Batalile (51.906) and top thirty Lightweight Manx Grand Prix finisher on debut in 2024, Etienne Huon De Penanster.
Whilst covering hill-climb racing in France, we’d be remiss not to mention, three of the nations most respected time-trial specialists Amalric Blanc, Loic Sirot and Steven Bellavoine, 2026 Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 competitors.
This weekend’s national ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’, Panissieres-meeting start-list features above profiled, former IRRC Superbike racer, recent S100 newcomer Steven Bellavoine and France’s fastest TT exponent, P15 in last Thursday’s S100 Solo Championship race, Amalric Blanc.
As we previously reported, Blanc’s association with Never Be Clever Racing for IRRC/ESR Championships, has officially ended.
