The calendar for the 2026 road racing, hill-climbs season continues to fill up. At the end of last year, CIVS (Campionato Italiano Velocita in Salita) dates, event venues were announced. There will be six racing weekends in the same places as in 2025 season (only the San Marino meeting after last August’s premiere now missing).
After last year’s amazing season with multiple CIVS/European title crowns and new track records plus TT (step-up from Manx Grand Prix), Northwest 200 and Macau Grand Prix debuts, Maurizio Bottalico is nearing twenty Championship crowns in his hill-climb career (currently he gained nineteen titles since 2019 season consisting of European Road Race Hill Climb Championship x9, CIVS title crowns x8 plus Austrian Hill Climb Championship x2).
If you look at the final lines of this article, you will find the names of CIVS Champions, featuring Italian roads scene royalty which need no introduction such as Salvatore Sallustro, Francesco Curinga (seven CIVS titles) and Stefano Bonetti (Italian fastest TT exponent has 13 CIVS crowns – 2001 125cc – 2002 250cc, eleven times overall 600/1000 Champion).

All these riders have enjoyed tumultuous moments at international competitions including the Isle of Man TT, Manx Grand Prix, Classic TT, IRRC events and Briggs Equipment Northwest 200. 2026 CIVS Championship rounds will be at:
