2025 Tandragee 100: Browne Wins Friday Evening Supersport Exhibition

After what felt like an endless day of practice, qualifying sessions, 2025 Around A Pound Tandragee 100 race-action, kick-started with an entertaining Ratcliffe Car Sales Supersport, non-Championship race.

Michael Browne (Boyce Precision Engineering by Russell Racing – Yamaha) would obtain victory spoils, after winning a tight contest with Michael Sweeney (EM Building – Yamaha), with less than 0.6 of a second, separating them at the culmination of race laps one, two, three and four.

Ultimately, the final margin between them stood at just past half a second, 0.504 to be exact.

Taking third was another Michael, TT history maker Dunlop (Milwaukee Ducati), whose victory challenge was largely hampered following technical gremlins in qualifying.

Starting amongst the second wave of riders (seventeenth on the grid), ‘Maverick’ by lap one’s finalisation on aggregate timing held P3 which he maintained for the remainder of race proceedings.

On the fourth, final lap, the 33 times TT winner, set the quickest lap of the race, 2 minutes 59.045 seconds, almost one second faster than race winner Browne’s best lap-time (2.59.976).

Conor Cummins (BE/RK Racing – Ducati) held off Darryl Tweed (5th) for fourth as Shaun Anderson (6th – Fire and Evacuation Services – Suzuki), Andy Farrell (7th), Ryan Whitehall (8th – Team ILR with Frog Vehicle Developments – Honda), Stephen Tobin (9th), Kevin Keyes (10th) swept the remaining top ten leader board positions.

Twelve more pilots completed the full race distance, Paul Cranston (11th), Michael Gahan (12th), Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Dan Ingham (13th), Liam Chawke (14th), Owen Monaghan (15th), Andy McAllister (16th).

Graham McAleese (17th), Anthony McColgan (18th), Kieran Brockie (19th), Darragh Trappe (20th) and Emmett Burke (21st), Noel Carroll (22nd).
