2025 Dolny Hricov – Zilina Airport Race: Saturday Race Results

At the same time as the Oliver’s Mount Cock O’The North and Prize of Krizevci, the Dolny Hricov – Zilina Airport Races, which is based in Slovakia near the Czech borders, also take place.

Five times IRRC Supersport Champion, Czech road racing legend Marek Cerveny, won the opening Supersport and Super Twin races.

He celebrated his 45th birthday at Dolny Hricov on Friday, it means he is now the same age as the start-number he traditionally carries on his motorcycles (wish you all the best Marek!).

Permanent 2025 IRRC Supersport rider Matej Vit, took second behind Cerveny within the middleweight field contest whilst another Czech IRRC Supersport star Petr Najman, was missing from race circulations, because of his IDM Sportbike category (event wild card) commitments at Autodrom Most.

The second fastest racer in Dymokury races history (behind lap-record holder David Datzer) Frohburg IRRC Supersport wildcard last year Michal Prasek, won Saturday’s Superbike race with Slovakian ace David Hanzalik second.

Others tasting success yesterday included Matous Ondrusz (Supermono), Moritz Nestler, German winner of ‘300 Curves of Gustav Havel’ from last month in the same category (GP 125/Moto3).

Tomas Gorka (Open 250), Patrik Horak (Supersport 400), Ales Malina (Supersport 300) and Michal Vecko (Sport Production 125), another Horice race winner, earlier in the year.
