Austria’s quickest TT Races exponent Julian Trummer is the first to admit that this season on the roads has not gone to plan.
“It’s been a disaster to be honest, but I was really thinking about calling it a day but thankfully I’ve got these guys here, TC Racing crew and TC Racing family.”
Super happy to be back on IOM shores, the former Newcomers (A) Manx Grand Prix runner-up is gradually regaining positivity with the real roads’ scene, after in his own words a “really s****y TT”.
Reunited with long term suitors, friends, DP Coldplaning/TC Racing for F1 Classic TT action, Trummer whose current personal best Mountain Course lap-speed of 128.638 mph, makes him the 42nd fastest rider in TT Races history, ushered significant praise on Mick Charnock’s widely respected team.
“Have been with them for a couple of years now and they are superb, and they are part of the reason why I do it because of the fun; they are super professional so can’t stay away.”
Eighth swiftest in last night’s opening Classic TT qualifying session, his ZXR 750 Kawasaki machine is virtually identical to the one he was astride last year albeit with slight changes.
“Pretty much the same we just kind of adapted the good bits from both bikes into one so in theory it should be a tiny bit better, but they’ve already been really good last year so were confident.”
Quietly optimistic of challenging for at least top seven, top eight finishes next week, Trummer disclosed that plans in are in motion for TT 2026, having quickly secured competitive machinery.
“Thankfully I am sorted already for next year, that’s really good and also a big relief for myself hopefully it will be announced sometime after the classic.”
