Road racing fans can now pencil into their 2024 diaries, dates for Oliver’s Mount Scarborough meetings.
Successfully returning to the roads scene this year, the Bob Smith Spring Cup is set to take top billing from the 13th-14th of April.
This means pending all going to plan, this will be the first UK roads event of 2024.
Following the Spring Cup, it’s the turn of the Barry Sheene Classic, which in contrast to this summer, is moved to mid-June (15th-16th).
Into July and the Cock O’The North which made this year like the Spring Cup, a prominent roads scene return, takes centre stage (20th-21st July).
The showpiece Oliver’s Mount meeting, the prestigious Gold Cup is confirmed for early September, with action commencing across the 7th-8th of September.
Back in September of this year, Dean Harrison made it three Steve Henshaw Gold Cup victories.
Reigning Gold Cup winner Adam McLean took P2 as Mad Bros Racing’s Gary McCoy wrapped up the podium finishers.
It’s great news for fans of Oliver’s Mount, UK roads fans, racers, teams, various sponsors, hotel owners, local businesses that the traditional two-day road race meetings are taking place next year.
Hill Climb (17th-18th August), Supermoto (24th-25th August) events are also confirmed for 2024 as another bumper year of visceral, thrilling motorsport beckons for England’s only active road race circuit.
