Super Twin race contests, very rarely fail to captivate those-trackside at Oliver’s Mount.
Expect more of the same at this weekend’s Cock O’The North, with a diverse pool of racers ready to duke it out for class honours in the three, six-lap JMS Group supported races.
Fresh from lap-record breaking heroics at the Southern 100, Rob Hodson (SMT Racing – Paton) will start a firm contender for race wins.
In tip top form, the Wigan rider back in April during the Bob Smith Spring Cup, was embroiled in gripping Twins race tussles, winning one, finishing runner-up in the second encounter.
The rider that bested him that day was Mad Bros Racing’s Gary McCoy.
An established fan favourite at Scarborough, McCoy presently heads the King of The Mount Championship standings.
More success, more P1s’ this week? This would not surprise countless roads scene boffins.
Tom Weeden (Club 77 – Aprilia), Johnny Stewart (J Stewart Garage – Kawasaki) must not be as well discounted from front running pursuits whilst others to monitor closely amongst the 25-rider entry-list, include:
Cowton Racing’s Gareth Arnold, Jay Bellers Smith (TH Racing / Hywel Griffiths Plant Hire), North Yorkshire ‘Mini TT’ returner Andy Smart (VRS Racing), David Brook.
Tommy Downes (Moto 46 – Yamaha), Craig Szczypek, No Limits Racing front-runner Russell Brook, Tigcraft vaulted Jack Turner.
Nick Boggan, the inspirational Chris Ganley, Garry Broughton, local rider Paul Moir and newcomers Daniel Pearson (Pearson Racing), Nick Gledhill (Allspeeds Motorcycles Racing by Garnett Electrical).
