19 racers secured at least one race victory during Boxing Day at Whanganui.

Kawasaki’s last success within the blue riband Robert Holden Memorial feature race remains from 2013, when renowned event expert Nick Cole triumphed.

Yamaha’s most recent Robert Holden Memorial feature race triumph arose in 2011, when Dan Stauffer retained the coveted race crown.

Suzuki’s last premier race triumph arose in 2019, after Richard Cooper’s impressive display.

All of the 12 finishers in the latest Robert Holden Memorial feature race, lapped under the 53-seconds mark.

In total on Monday twelve racers managed at least one sub 52 second-lap. The top ten quickest ‘Southern Hemisphere TT’ competitors from 2022 in descending order is as follows:

10 – Karl Hooper – 51.678

Famous names you might not have realised that have competed around the Cemetery Circuit over the years have included:

Ex World Superbike, Grand Prix, stars Pat Hennen, Aaron Slight, Simon Crafar, Graeme Crosby, Hideo Kanaya, Randy Mamola and the legendary 26 times TT winner Joey Dunlop.

It’s eight years since TV personality, eight times Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup winner, 19 times international Road Race winner Guy Martin joined the Cemetery Circuit winners’ circle.

As stated in a previous article, Mitch Rees is the third Rees family member to become feature race Champion at Whanganui.

Brother Damon claimed the coveted crown in 2020 whilst Dad Tony took his first of seven successes, thirty two years ago back in 1990.
