2016 Senior Manx GP Champ Weeden Reveals Gold Cup Plans

Looking forward to making the trip back to Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, 2016 Senior Manx GP winner Tom Weeden has revealed his intention to compete at the upcoming two day Gold Cup meeting.

Multiple times a top three finisher at Scarborough, back in 2014 at the Gold Cup Weeden joined the ‘Mount’ race winners circle following success in the second Senior B race.

Five years since his maiden roads success, the Maidstone based racer has year on year grown in stature within the real roads community, establishing himself as one of England’s fastest rising talents.

26th in this year’s Dunlop Senior TT, additional highlights of the 2019 season which has seen Weeden compete for BE Racing In Conjunction With Richardson Kelly Racing have included impressive first Cookstown, Tandragee, Armoy event stints, plus a brace of top 15 finishes secured at the FonaCAB Ulster Grand Prix.

Looking towards the 68th Scarborough Gold Cup, his first Scarborough meet in two years is set to see him pilot immaculately prepared YZF R6 Yamaha, 750 Suzuki machinery.

More than capable of mixing it with various famous names this month, he’s another one to watch at the final UK based roads event of 2019, which gets underway in just two weeks time!
