In recognition of the Manx Grand Prix’s 100th Anniversary, the Isle of Man Post Office have produced a collection of commemorative stamps.
The stamps cover Mountain Course action across eight different decades.
Event icons, heroes, legends to feature are the following:
Les Randles – the first MGP winner in 1929.
Albert Moule – One of thirteen Norton mounted racers to finish in the top 15 of the Senior class-encounter from 1937.
Ron Langston – 1959 Junior MGP runner-up.
Chas Mortimer – Future eight times TT winner.
John Knowles – Event regular, eleven times a top ten finisher.
Dave Roper – The first ever American TT winner.
Carolynn Sells – First female MGP winner, Ultra Lightweight class victor in 2009.
Nathan Harrison – 2019 Junior and Senior race winner.
Purchasable individually or in collection form, the stamps designed by Tracey Dean, also feature in a booklet, featuring words by acclaimed bike racing writer David Wright.
The booklet covers the Manx GP’s rich heritage, history, it’s role in continually providing the TT stars of tomorrow.
