Fifth within last month’s Steve Henshaw Gold Cup at Oliver’s Mount, Kent’s Tom Weeden was back on short circuits racing duty at the weekend, taking in the final BMCRC (British Motor Cycle Racing Club) event of 2022.
Circulating around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, Weeden piloting the Club 77 YZF R6 Yamaha, went onto secure a hat-trick of top three finishes, from the Dart Motorsport MRO 600 races.
The fourth, final 600cc encounter saw the 2016 Senior Manx GP winner in prime contention for second before sliding off out of contention at Paddock Hill.
Speaking about this incident via Facebook, he stated:
“Full send into the gravel, few somersaults and styled it out landing on my feet! Bike is in need of some TLC but I’m all good.”
Weeden also stated yesterday that his next race outing, sees him Lydden Hill bound, participating in the Lord of Lydden event, that was first ran in 1966.
