Martimotos supported Pierre Yves Bian made it four wins from six IRRC race starts during 2021, as the first French Manx GP winner of the 21st century clinched in comprehensive fashion Supersport race 2 success at Hengelo.
1.36 seconds clear of the chasing pack at the conclusion of lap one, he stretched his advantage out front to almost three seconds by lap two, which grew to three seconds plus as lap five beckoned.
His eventual race winning margin stood at just under three seconds, finishing 2.961 ahead of lead chaser, lead Supersport Championship challenger Ilja Caljouw.
Caljouw’s second place finish leaves him now 28 points behind Yves Bian, with just two IRRC Supersport rounds remaining.
Concluding this afternoon’s IRRC Hengelo Supersport rostrum finishers behind Caljouw, Yves Bian was Optimark Road Racing’s Xavier Denis who claimed his first roads podium finish of 2021.
BeNeLux Trophy Supersport race 2 victor Jorn Hamberg banked fourth, Amalric Blanc placed fifth whilst another improving French roads exponent, Romain Cleaz Savoyen rounded out the top six finishers.
Remaining finishers from the seven lap race, which had a high attrition rate were Cyril Lecocq (7th), Kevin Rigot (8th), Never Be Clever Racing’s Mark Purslow (9th), Jurgen Welsing (10th).
Quentin Limousin (11th), Julien Cregniot (12th), Yann Galli (13th), Maxime Gresoviac (14th) and Poland’s only IRRC racer Krystian Paluch (15th).
