By WP Racing have taken up the mantle of been the lead fuel supplier for the Vauxhall International North West 200.
The company which celebrates next year it’s 58th anniversary, are delighted to become a backer for the next three years of one of road racing’s premier international events.
WP Racing Manager, Anthony Webb stated:
“We are delighted to take on this new role as the fuel supplier for the Vauxhall International North West 200, one of the most prestigious road races on the calendar, and are looking forward to working with Mervyn and his team in 2018.”

North West 200 Event Director, Mervyn Whyte MBE added:
“Each year some 10,000 litres of fuel are used across all classes at the North West. We take our Health & Safety and Environmental responsibilities extremely seriously.
The introduction of WP Racing’s services will bring about significant improvements in terms of the safe transportation, handling and dispensing of racing fuels.
Through the use of approved and tested fuel containers and dispensing equipment, there will also be a significantly reduced risk of environmental contamination through fuel spillage.”
Mervyn went onto add about the introduction of a new control fuel format, for competitors/teams:
“It is in the interests of everyone involved in the sport that race results are not influenced by any potential unfair advantage brought about through the illicit use of higher performing fuels.
WP Racing will have an on site testing facility that can accurately confirm, within ten minutes of obtaining a sample, that the control fuel is being used.”
