Williams Planning Full IRRC Tilt

Hoping to kick on from positive ventures this year at Circuit De Chimay and Horice, rising Isle of Man roads force Jamie Williams is planning to take in all IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) meetings in 2023.

Racing again under the JLG Racing/NCE Racing banner, Williams prospective IRRC season tilt features events in five different nations, including the Hengelo, Netherlands based Varsselring and Finland’s former Grand Prix racing venue Imatranajo.

Earlier this year, Williams summed up in an interview with Road Racing News, the un-distilled pure nature of IRRC affiliated action.

“It’s almost like road racing un-touched. It’s un-commercialised, it’s not political, it’s back to basics grass roots racing.

They treat the riders so well it doesn’t matter if you are leading the Championship or last.

They love their road racing out there and the tracks and how it’s organised and everything in between, it’s just proper enjoyable weekend’s racing.”

Williams 2023 roads itinerary additionally includes the North West 200, Tandragee 100, Pre-TT Classic Road Races, Armoy Road Races, the Southern 100 and the 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix.

Third within last August’s Senior race, he came close to joining the ‘Tommy Club’, lapping over the 119.6 mph lap mark.

With added experience behind him, allied to ever improving race craft, knowledge of the unparalleled Mountain Course, he’s definitely one to watch next year.
