21st century French roads titan Eddy Ferre, 2026 road racing campaign takes on a similar note to last season, sticking with his nation’s top international roads team, Optimark Road Racing, racing the same machines (CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade Honda/YZF R6 Yamaha).
Quickest Manx Grand Prix newcomer in 2023, Ferre is primarily focusing this year on the ‘Majors’s, the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, TT Races and Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix (subject to entry approval). IRRC Chimay thrills are additionally pencilled in.
Presently, France’s second fastest Mountain Course competitor (PB lap speed – 127.106 mph), he first obtained TT rider status back in 2024.
The past two TT’s have seen Ferre register a 100 percent finishing record (ten starts – ten finishes), take six top twenty-five finishes and as highlighted above, top the 127-mph lap mark (one of just fifty-four riders to achieve this).
One to watch this spring, summer, Ferre is not to-be-underestimated, more than capable of beating various household names.
