Amazing isn’t it, weeks and weeks of continuous warm, pleasant weather on the Isle of Man, then the rain hits for TT 2025.
Before rain showers put pay to this morning, this afternoon’s intended one-lap non timed, practice sessions, solo (Barry Burrell/Mitch Rees), Sidecar newcomers undertook their speed-controlled laps behind Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle, Johnny Barton, Greg Lambert/Andrew Haynes and the Gibson’s Gary & Daryl.
Not long after, Clerk of The Course Gary Thompson MBE BEM, stated over the public tannoy, that all remaining action for today, was cancelled due to current, forecast further inclement weather.
Competitors patiently waiting on the start-line, from witnessing up close, seemed pragmatic about the update.
As the old saying goes, you can’t do anything about the weather, although certain strands of science would differ to this notion.
Fingers crossed now; all works out for tomorrow evening’s bout of qualifying.
Been realistic though looking at present forecasts, it looks like Wednesday will be the day when TT 2025 – Qualifying Week is ignition go.
