TT 2025: News From The Paddock 5

* Padgetts Racing’s CBR 600RR Honda now has My Coolman colour scheme immersed on it, highlighting the Batley based team’s title sponsor, Milenco’s My Coolman cool-boxes product.

Commenting about this subject, Clive Padgett enthusiastically stated:

“It is exciting to unveil this new My Coolman livery today for Davey Todd and his CBR600RR Honda.

We have enjoyed a successful six-year association with Milenco and this is something new and bright for the fans to enjoy at TT 2025.”

* Before last night’s qualifying session was red-flagged, John McGuinness MBE felt that his Superbike was “more like how I would want it”.

“It was a tough few laps this afternoon and then for Qualifying 3 we changed the bike back to the way it was for the Senior TT in 2024, because we went well then, and it felt a lot better. No qualms about that, really, if it works.

We just need to find that sweet spot again. I’m pleased for the team, Dean’s flying, we’re just a little bit behind the eight ball now but it felt like we were getting there.

It’s just that we only got halfway round the lap when the bike was feeling more like how I would want it and we got red-flagged, so I hope that Pete’s okay.”

* Honda Racing UK team-mate, qualifying week pacesetter for Superbike, Superstock, Supersport classes Dean Harrison, stated “Honestly, I just try to go fast on everything that I ride. To where I feel okay. We’ve been constantly changing a few bits and pieces to try and get the most out of what we have.

There is no big changes that we’ve made; it’s just a case of constantly refining things. We’ve played a little with the geometry and things like that to make the bikes easy to ride.”

* Wishing both 2016 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Tom Weeden (reported to have back/leg/ankle injuries), TT Races lap-record holder Peter Hickman (reported to have chest/back/shoulder/face injuries) both exceptionally quick, speedy recoveries after incidents yesterday at Glen-Helen and Kerrowmoar.

* Almost the whole Superbike/Senior races entry, banked yesterday lap speeds, topping 120 mph.

* Those unofficially setting personal best lap speeds included Nathan Harrison (130.172), Michael Sweeney (126.657), Maurizio Bottalico (123.381), Kevin Keyes (120.997) and Barry Burrell (120.613).

* Unofficially now, the 130 Mph Club has expanded to 27 members.

* Top Gear, The Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond is on IOM shores today.

* Darren Hope/Lenny Bumfrey’s outfit, is title backed by Kawasaki Insurance.

* Conor Cummins lap-speed during Superbike Q3 of 131.027 mph, is unofficially the fastest ever TT lap set on BE/RK Racing machinery.
