Former Duke Road Race Rankings, King of The Roads Champion Davey Todd, TT 2024 Supersport races project mixes Italian flair with World Supersport, British Supersport winning credentials.
Three times Northwest 200 winner Todd, who became the UK’s second IRRC Superbike Champion in 2018, middleweight class mount for 2024 Mountain Course competition is the twin cylinder V2 Panigale Ducati.
As well as purpose-built circuit series feats, the duke additionally fared well at last year’s Northwest 200, when Alastair Seeley finished a close runner-up to Todd in the opening Supersport race.
Now armed with the same bike, which has been made possible thanks to lead backer, Powertoolmate, Todd is eager to add new chapters in Ducati’s TT story.
“It’s a pretty trick piece of kit, and there’s certainly no better looking Supersport machine on the grid!
Looks are one thing, but the pedigree of the V2 is unquestionable, winning pretty much everything in 2023.
The TT throws up a different challenge for sure, but with support from TAS (Racing) and Stewart (Johnstone) leading the team, I’m really excited about going down Bray Hill on the bike.”
Team Principal for Todd’s new TAS Racing supported team, which will be titled as Powertoolmate Ducati, is the widely heralded Stewart Johnstone who stated:
“I must admit, from an engineering perspective and leading this effort, I’m looking forward to the challenge of taking an iconic brand and partner back to the TT, in what I think can be regarded as the most competitive category at the event.
And on a personal level, I hope to rekindle the previous successes I’ve enjoyed with Ducati.”
