Three times a top six finisher at last month’s Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, 2022 Macau Grand Prix winner Erno Kostamo reputation within worldwide road racing circles is ever increasing.
The man to beat at Imatranajo in recent times, he stated to Road Racing News his thoughts on returning to his local road race next month.
“Our goal, is to achieve the 16th win like Agostini (Giacomo), so after 16 wins in Imatra then Erno can retire!”
Succinctly reflecting on above showcased NW200 achievements, Finland’s top pure road racer stated:
“It went more better than we have been expecting.”
Banking on Friday, a major new unofficial PB TT lap speed of 123.030 mph, Kostamo spoke nothing but positivity, when looking back on qualifying week form astride the RVS, Suvic by Penz 13 BMW’s.
“Practice week has been going very well and the speed has been better first two days, then it was last year for the whole week.”
