Early morning 2024 Manx Grand Prix start-number news, focusing on the Senior Classic genre.

Returning to the P1 plate is 23 times TT winner John McGuinness MBE, competing for ever-present suitors, Team Winfield (Paton).

Armoy ‘Man of The Meeting’, Ted Woof Racing/Craven Classic Racing’s Jamie Coward (Manx Norton), beginning ten seconds adrift, will be looking to chase down his illustrious fellow Englishman.

Michael Browne, backed again by Peter Grantham’s Team Grantham Lodge set-up, goes next.

Four, five, six, seven plates are respectively assigned to Shaun Anderson, equipped with Peter Beugger’s 500 Paton, CSC Racing regular James Hillier (TX 500 Yamaha), TT wins record holder Michael Dunlop (machinery still to be officially confirmed) and Cookstown Grand Final winner Dominic Herbertson.

The next three racers due to receive the tap on the shoulder are Davies Motorsport’s charger Paul Jordan, Royal Enfield vaulted Adam McLean and 12 times TT rostrum finisher, Steadplan sponsored Conor Cummins.

Adelaide’s David ‘Davo’ Johnson (G50 Matchless) part of the Ted Woof Racing/Craven Classic Racing team holds the 11-plate.

Next to unlock Mountain Course racing exploration is Jim Hind (Manx Norton) whilst starting plates thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen have been pocketed by Michael Sweeney (TX 500 Yamaha), Ruthless Racing’s Alan Oversby (CB 500 Honda), Joe Yeardsley (G50 Royal Enfield), Izzard Racing’s Michael Russell.

Michael Evans, Will Loder (Mk2 Seeley), Joey ‘Yorkshire’ Thompson, Rhys Hardisty (DOHC Velocette) wrap up the scheduled 1-20 starters.

The likes of Alex Sinclair, Glen English, Cleethorpe’s Jeff Smith, Stephen Walsh also compete in an encounter, which outcome, could come down to whose steed is most reliable.
