On Tuesday, Road Racing News ventured down to Jurby, to visit the Isle of Man Motor Museum.
First opened in 2015, the building located not far from the Jurby Airfield circuit, features an incredible collection of bikes, cars, engines, memorabilia, priceless products.
If you are a pure road racing fan, TT Races fan, Manx GP fan or an all-round petrolhead this place is an absolute must visit.
Walking around yesterday, it’s like you think you’ve seen something amazing and then there’s this, there’s that.
Mountain Course racing steeds on display include:
* 1996 Honda CBR 600 taken to Junior TT success by Phillip McCallen.
* Ex Joey Dunlop, John Harris Motorcycles Honda.
* 1992 Supersport TT rostrum finishing CBR 600 F2 Honda, raced by Steve Hislop.
* John McGuinness MBE’s 2004 Lightweight TT 400 race winning steed, the Ricky Leddy Racing Honda.
* 2007 Klaffi Honda, raced by the much-missed Martin Finnegan.
* 1992 RS 125 Honda, previously piloted by the late, great Alan ‘Bud’ Jackson.
* 2009 Superstock McAdoo Kawasaki, piloted by Conor Cummins.
There is also an immaculate display of Yamaha’s, raced by Bingley’s David Nobbs.
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting the six times top twenty TT finisher, who stated that his favourite all-time racing circuits are Cadwell Park and Oulton Park.
So, what else, haven’t I touched upon, well there is the matter of loads and I mean loads of TT Races trophies, programs from down the years, posters, racers leathers, helmets.
One hour walking around a museum like this, feels like walking around for ten minutes!
Honestly, I’m not trying to score brownie points here, if you love anything with an engine, are mechanically minded, an enthusiast of two, four-wheel machines across the decades, you’ll be immersed, captivated.
