With Southern 100 racing 2024 style, looming closer and closer, organisers have released today more positive news, this time relating to overseas aces primed for the ‘Friendly Races’.
Seven solo racers from outside the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man feature in the star studied entry-list.
They are Belgium’s Jean Pierre Polet (Roads Warriors Team), no stranger to Billown, quickest Manx Grand Prix newcomer of 2022, France’s fastest TT Races pilot Amalric Blanc.
Fellow countryman Cedric Assouvie, Baja International Tourist Cup front-runner Dave Thomas (Obsession Engineering – Super Twins Aprilia), Israel Gillette, Canada’s Logan Barker (McCrums Motorcycles – Super Twins Aprilia).
Finally, and most prominently, 2022 Macau Grand Prix winner, current King of Imatranajo Champion Erno Kostamo (38 Motorsport by Penz 13 – BMW).
Topping at TT 2024 the 124-mph lap-mark, Kostamo’s inclusion within the 1000cc race contests, is an extra cherry on top for the Southern 100 Racing team, who had already attracted confirmed entries from TT victors, podium finishers, roads ‘Aliens’ including to name but a few:
Davey Todd (Milwaukee BMW), Dean Harrison (Honda Racing UK), Michael Dunlop (Hawk Racing), Jamie Coward (KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan), Ben Birchall/Kevin Rousseau.
Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley, Alan Founds/Rhys Gibbons, Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes, Dominic Herbertson (BE/RK Racing), Michael Browne (In Competition Aprilia).
