Roads Competitor Watch – BSB/Support Series Thruxton

International road racing alumni, established, next generation had differing results throughout the latest BSB, support series rounds at the high-speed Thruxton circuit.

County Durham’s Barry Burrell, the second fastest solo newcomer of TT 2025, beat Chasin the Racin team’s Josh Corner to main F900R BMW Cup victory spoils.

Josh Brookes (DAO Racing Honda) collected twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth place finishes, Davey Todd’s tough BSB campaign continued, with the Superbike TT winner, gaining a best finish of twentieth.

For Nathan Harrison (H&H Motorcycles Honda) it was nothing but net gain as the 2019 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner, enjoyed his best National Superstock 1000 odyssey to date.

Tenth within the opening stock-1000 contest, the second category race burst saw the IOM rider start from second on the grid.

Quickest off the line, he briefly led then held second for multiple laps before slipping back to eighth in-the final-results’ list.

None the less another impressive showing, only adding to his confidence levels ahead of Classic TT competition on RVF 400 Honda (H&H Motorcycles), ZXR 750 Kawasaki (Greenall Racing) machines.

The unrelated Dean Harrison (Honda Racing UK), took top eight finishes x2, hauled twenty points from Supersport encounters, to move only two points behind good-friend, TT winner Lee Johnston within the current British Supersport Championship standings.

Reflecting on Thruxton explorations, the five times TT winner stated post the three-times red-flagged feature Supersport race.

“I do not think that was a true race, really, to be fair. A two-lap/three-lap dash is not what we are all about, is it?

Obviously, you feel for the guys who came off, but I have never done a race like that before!

But our pace was good all weekend: the fastest laps were good, I was close to Jack’s times, and we were able to carry that speed through in every session.

So, we will just take that and do it again at Cadwell; a circuit that I like and one that I am looking forward to.”
