Oulton Park, similar in nature in parts to a street race, proved a happy place to be for a selection of TT 2024 entrants, who mopped up race wins during round two of the 2024 Wirral 100 MC (Motor Club) series.
Firstly, there was Gordon Huxley Racing’s Jonathan Perry, headlining the Pre-Injection races. Secondly, Jim Hind astride Barry Sheene tribute liveried, GSX-R 1000 Suzuki tackle, commanded the 10-lap National race.
The 31st quickest TT racer in history, Saturday results resume also featured runner-up placings in the Carl Roberts/Emjess Racing Powerbike races.
Chris ‘Rabbit’ Moore perhaps more regarded by some for his two-stroke racing qualities, showed his dab touch aboard Super Twins machinery, winning the opening Allcomers race.
Carl Cox Motorsport backed John Holden/Frank Claeys, warmed up in proficient fashion for 2024 Mountain Course voyages by claiming both Sidecar race triumphs.
Best chasers, extremely close chasers we should state to Holden/Claeys were multiple race winners from last weekend at Darley Moor, Dan Knight/Ben Hughes.
2017 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Michael Evans, former Cookstown 100 feature race winner Forest Dunn, Rodger Wibberley, Lewis Arrowsmith, Aaron Spence, Liam Thornton were amongst added notable roads scene alumni, up-coming forces powering around Oulton Park, which for those that aren’t already aware, first hosted two, four-wheel racing, 71 years ago in 1953.
