Road Racer’s Adventures: EMRA Round 2, Mallory Park

Notorious pure road racers sampling the second EMRA (East Midlands Racing Association) meeting of 2023, included Team Classic Suzuki’s Shaun Anderson.

Astride the GSX-R 1000 Suzuki, he will pilot in the 1000cc races of TT 2023, Banbridge’s Anderson left Mallory Park with more positives than negatives.

Second in both Mallory Park Trophy races, the 35th fastest racer in TT history, 2010 Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix runner-up turn of pace was only exceeded by prospective North West 200 first timer Leon Jeacock.

Added racers keeping sharp ahead of travelling to Manx shores included Craig Szczypek and upcoming TT newcomer Jack Petrie.

Entered within the Monster Energy Supersport, Carole Nash Super Twin races, Petrie’s Bank Holiday racing tenure saw him excel on yesteryear tackle, speeding to a brace of Classic Era triumphs.
