Huge crowds, fierce competition, top weather, all aspects aligned for a proper ‘Party in The Park’ at the Cadwell BSB event.
Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin accrued three successive fifth place finishes, Senior TT runner-up FHO Racing BMW’s Josh Brookes obtained a results set of (7th-7th-6th), team-mate, Mountain Course lap-record holder Peter Hickman attained respective results of twelfth, fifteenth, ninth.
2024 Senior TT winner Davey Todd was edged out by nearest Championship rival Joe Talbot for National Superstock 1000 race spoils, leaving him with a now one-point series lead whilst another TT ‘Alien’ Dean Harrison, tackled again British Supersport competition.
It was a mixed bag for Honda Racing UK’s Harrison, finishing P4, close to the podium in the twelve-lap sprint race, then crashing out (clipping a curb) the feature-race on lap five.
Fellow Englishman, five times Northwest 200 winner Richard Cooper was pipped to National Sportbike race honours by Italian Edoardo Colombi.
Only 0.167 of a second separated Colombi and Cooper, Robert Holden Memorial feature race winner at Whanganui in 2019.
