Road Racing News, 2024 Race of The Year award goes to, drum roll, the GO Fuels Super Twins race at the Armoy Road Races.
100 mph-laps, a multi manufacturer tussle (Kawasaki vs Aprilia), captivating battles, last lap thrills, potent overtaking manoeuvres, this Twins category contest, had it all.

An exhilarating dice for P1 between Jamie Coward, Michael Browne and Paul Jordan, saw all three on class record-breaking pace, all lapping below 1:48 seconds, setting 100 mph + lap speeds.
Eventually after seven keenly contested laps, the racer pinching first at the finish line by 0.067 of a second was KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan’s Coward, who additionally had the honour of the races’ quickest lap and new Super Twins lap record, 1:47.711 seconds.
Scott Racing Aprilia’s Browne was a valiant runner-up, KMR Kawasaki’s Jordan took third, 3.142 further back.
Michael Sweeney was best of the rest in fourth whilst Barry Furber, TH Racing’s Jay Bellers Smith unlocked creditable fifth, sixth place finishes.
Grasping placings seventh to tenth were Marcus ‘Spartacus’ Simpson, Cowton Racing’s Gareth Arnold, Junior Support first, second place finishers Sean Brolly, Kevin Baker.
