Northwest 200 organisers have been forced to re-shuffle the qualifying itinerary for the 2024 event edition, due to a date clash with the BSB Oulton Park meet (4th-6th May).
Racers, teams on BSB duty including 2023 series runner-up Glenn Irwin, won’t be able to get set-up in time for the original intended first qualifying session (7th May).
Tuesday qualifying is now null and void and instead the race for pole positions per class will begin on Wednesday the 8th of May.
In contrast to previous NW200 editions, the Superbike fraternity will take lead precedence in qualifying stints, with the ‘Big Bikes’ first out after Triangle course debutants on Wednesday (8th May) and Thursday (9th May).
Post the Superbikes it’s then the turn of Super Twins then Supersport then Superstock.
2024 NW200 Qualifying running order re-cap:
Wednesday 8th May:
Newcomers
Superbike
Super Twins
Supersport
Superstock
Thursday 9th May:
Superbike

Supersport
