Fourth overall in last season’s Supersport Championship, a race winner at Circuit De Chimay, his favourite recollection from his time participating in IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) events to date, is as follows:
“My favourite moment was, of course when I first climbed onto the IRRC podium at Chimay. Before I get two times points for P3, but wasn’t on the podium, because of guest starters.
At Chimay, I won the Benelux Trophy in the morning. Despite bad wet conditions. So, I was well prepared for the IRRC race. When I got up to third, I felt that I was faster than P2, Jorn Hamberg.
So, I closed the gap quickly and was fighting with him for second. But then the visor starts to get foggy, so I was not able to push more and secured P3.
Also was an honour for me to have Gary Johnson as my team-mate. Bad thing that he had a terrible crash at Horice and couldn’t finish the season, looking forward to the year ahead with him in our team.”
