By Next to feature in Road Racing News, new One Incredible IRRC Moment series, is none other than 2023 IRRC Superbike Champion Lukas Maurer.
Widely regarded as Switzerland’s foremost pure road racer of the 21st Century, his favourite recollection from his time sampling IRRC events to date, is as follows:
“Difficult to pick one moment. This season had so many!
Of course, I’m most proud about the moment I crossed the line in Horice and became the champion!
But there are so many more, like my first time on a Yamaha and directly two wins with a completely stock bike.
Or that I was faster than Hickman (Peter) in Imatra. Moments I will never forget.”
