Next to feature in Road Racing News, new One Incredible IRRC Moment series, is none other than the UK’s first IRRC Champion Danny Webb.
Imatranajo lap record holder since 2018, his favourite recollection from his time sampling IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) events to date, is as follows:
“Favourite IRRC moment was racing at Imatra, really loved it there and the history the place made it even more special and having a Barry Sheene helmet and bike livery made it even more special.
Winning the Championship was great it was a very enjoyable season. The fans and crowds at the races have been the best I’ve seen so supportive and passionate about the sport.
To score maximum points in the season was a great achievement and taking the lap record at several circuits was great.
For the best overtake I can’t really remember if I’m honest! Best moment was at Horice winning the championship and doing the victory lap having team boss Rico (Penzkofer) on the back, all the fans invading the track and celebrating it was a great moment.”
