NZ Street Aces Thrill At Greymouth

Cross generation battles, established event specialists excelling, sizzling Supersport races were just three of many themes to sum up the 2023 Mega Mitre Greymouth Street Races.

Amidst a glorious, bright, sunny weather glistened backdrop, over eighteen races took place.

Multiple race winners included Formula Greymouth victor, Wanaka’s Seth Devereux.

Devereux who has fought back to optimum race fitness, after sustaining earlier this year a broken back, led home in the six-lap blue-riband race, F2 Supersport race two winner Daryl Craigie and NZ street racing veteran, Heath Botica.

Craigie, Botica, respectively were 3.368, 4.411 seconds behind 11 plate holder Devereux.

167 plate occupier Botica, the feature race Champion from twelve months ago, was today’s most winning rider, chalking up no less than seven victories including successive F1 Superbike triumphs.

Steve Brown, Chris McMeeken, Peter Jones, Dennis Isbister shared the Post Classic Pre 82, Post Classic Pre 72 spoils.

Jordan Burley commanded Post Classic Pre 89 proceedings, Chris Huddlestone pocketed F3 Super Twin wins x3 whilst Mitch Rowe also joined the hat-trick race winners club, finishing top three times in the Supermoto class.
