By Same as in 2022, various racers set new personal best lap speeds/lap times at the latest FonaCAB & Nicholl Oils North West 200.
Amazingly the fastest lap speeds from race week, emerged during the last lap of the CP Hire Superstock race.
The fastest lap speeds, were respectively produced by race winner Alastair Seeley (124.484), second place finisher Michael Dunlop (124.476).
Both Seeley and Dunlop had surpassed the existing stock 1000 lap record and weren’t a million miles off the outright lap record, still held by Peter Hickman.
Joining Synetiq BMW’s Seeley, Hawk Racing’s Dunlop in registering on Sunday, 124 mph plus lap speeds were eight times successive Superbike race victor Glenn Irwin (124.362), DAO Racing’s Dean Harrison (124.267) and Duke Road Race Rankings Champion Davey Todd (124.018).
Just three additional competitors topped 120 mph lap speeds, Michael Rutter (120.861), John McGuinness MBE (120.714) and Dakar Rally participant James Hillier (120.012).
Tying up the quickest ten Triangle course competitors of 2023 were speediest newcomer Michael Browne (119.902) and fellow Irishman Brian McCormack (119.375).
