NW200: News From The Paddock Edition 3

Although a non-starter in tomorrow’s 1000cc races, Josh Brookes is still a record breaker at this year’s North West 200, courtesy of registering yesterday the fastest ever speed through the speed trap on the run to University Corner.

Twice BSB Champion Brookes record speed stood at 212.4 mph!

FHO Racing team-mate Peter Hickman whilst out of the Superbike, Superstock races will still be taking part on Saturday in the Supersport, Super Twin races, racing his own team’s 765 Triumph, R7 Yamaha machines.

Alastair Seeley is now the fifth quickest racer in NW200 history, thanks to a new blistering Superstock lap record of 124.427 mph (4:19.525 seconds).

11th, 12th place finishers in last night’s Superstock 1000 encounter were the top two finishers in the 2022 Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, Triangle course newcomer David Datzer, Finland’s Erno Kostamo.

19 Super Twin entrants recorded lap speeds topping 100 mph, during Tuesday, Thursday’s qualifying sessions.

Notable visitors to the NW200 recently include Andrew Irwin, Graeme Irwin, father Alan Irwin.

Korie McGreevy, former Irish Road Race Super Twins/Supersport Champion Jamie Hamilton and Adrian Coates.

Six races are scheduled to take place tomorrow including the postponed, Milltown Service Station Super Twins encounter. The weather forecast looks favourable!
