You’d be hard pressed to find many racers as determined as Ian Hutchinson.
Endless operations, setbacks, career threatening moments.
Through it all, the will to win, the will to achieve more tumultuous feats burns brightly.
Now back with Padgetts Racing (Milenco by Padgetts), with which he captured the still to be matched five wins in a TT race-week, he’s looking forward to re-igniting roads scene explorations.
His first closed roads endeavours of 2024, sees him back tackling the Triangle, sampling the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200.
Set to mark twenty years since he first joined NW200 rider ranks, the three times winner has fond event memories including victory in the sole Superstock race of 2016.
“That win was particularly sweet because Alastair can outsmart anyone at the Northwest.
To beat Alastair on the last lap of that race on a day when he became the event’s most successful rider was special.”
Realistic expectations wise for next month’s competition, Hutchinson who will be team-mate to the ‘Ramsey Rocket’ Conor Cummins, stated:
“I’ve raced in a couple of No Limits series meetings in England so far this year and will be out at Oulton Park in the May Day BSB meeting.
I’ve probably been out of action too long now to be able to consider winning just yet, but I want to be back out there racing. I know where I am now, and I know where I can be. Only I can see that.”
