Back in February, former Steve Henshaw Gold Cup runner-up Mike Norbury, announced that he would be taking a year out of closed roads competition.
Fast forward to now and ‘Strawberry’ is ready to return to the roads, beginning with next month’s Cock O’The North at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough.
Speaking about his upcoming roads scene return, the ex-protégé of TT Zero, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner Rob Barber, who has recently acquired ZX6R Kawasaki machinery, stated:
“So, I’ve bought my own ZX6. I’ll be racing it at Oliver’s Mount out of the Thornton racing awning, then I’ll be doing the Southern 100, Armoy and Scarborough after that.”
“I’m going back to the old ways of doing it out of the back of my van for the rest of the year.
I haven’t raced since the Senior TT of 2022, so I need to get back up to speed and give 2024 a good go!
Trying to get some personal sponsors together so if anyone can help out, please get in touch!”
