Motorcycle Prague 2025: Pre-Season Echoes
Earlier this month, Czech road racing statistician, aficionado Jan Vavra, attended Czech Republic’s leading two-wheel exhibition show, Motorcycle Prague, finding out golden nuggets of roads scene information.

The info noted down covering various Czech roads alumni, 2025 season plans, is as follows:

* Veronika Hankocyova (Wonder Women Racing Team by Buldoci) will be a TT 2025 entrant with Aprilia RS 660 in the Super Twins category.

* Team-mates to Veronika Hankocyova within the Wonder Women racing squad, for selected Czech/Slovak road races are Kristyna Jakesch and Anna Malinova.

* IRRC Superbike rider Emil Krchnavy (ZD Motorsport) will be the first Slovakian participant ever at the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200.

* Alongside the TT, Tandragee 100, Manx Grand Prix, both Horice meetings are pencilled into the 2025 itinerary schedule for Indi Racing Team’s, Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil.

* Winner of last year’s 300 Curves of Gustav Havel Supermono race, as a newcomer, also fourth, fifth from IRRC Schleiz Supersport races as an event wildcard, Finn ‘Crazy Chicken’ Chapman is set to make his Manx Grand Prix debut this year, competing for Team Antec.

* Five-time IRRC Supersport Champion Marek Cerveny (WRP Wepol Racing) will pilot the same bikes this year as he rode in 2024 – Triumph Street Triple 765 RS (Supersport) and Aprilia RS 660 (Super Twins).

* Lightweight class specialist Patrik Kolar is ready to fight for another 300 Curves of Gustav Havel victory (now holds the record with 13 wins at this event).

* After his IRRC debut last year Jakub Sprojcar (TTRace Factory Racing) is an announced IRRC Superbike Championship rider again.

* Just like last year, quickest Czech TT rider in history Kamil Holan (Hefty 74) isn’t likely to feature at all IRRC events but is Horice bound.

* Fourth in the 2024 IRRC Supersport Championship standings, Petr Najman (Laserscanning Europe by PSB) will ride a Yamaha R6 again in the IRRC Supersport Championship and be Ducati Panigale V2 955 mounted at selected Czech road races.

* Horice race director Tomas Jencovsky presented listed categories for both Horice races:

300 Curves of Gustav Havel – Superbike, Supersport, Super Twins, Supermono, Supersport 400, Supersport 300, GP 125/Moto 3, Sport Production 125, 250 Open and Classic Sidecars.

Czech TT+IRRC – IRRC Superbike, IRRC Supersport, EST-RRC Super Twins (ran by Belgian Twin Trophy organisers) and Classics.*

* Online applications for ´Slovacky Okruh – Stare Mesto´ (3rd-4th May) are now open and 150 registered motorcycles is confirmed by the organisers for disclosed below classes:

Superbike, Supersport, Super Twins, Supermono, Supersport 400, Supersport 300, GP 125/Moto3, Sport Production 125, 250 Open, Classic Sidecars, yesteryear Classics.*

* One of the most important people at the Slovakian road race Kopcany (7th-8th June), racing inventory David ‘Predator’ Hanzalik, stated that riders from Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Croatia are interested about competing at Kopcany.*

* Unofficially, the TT 2025 entry list will include plenty past and present Horice circuit aces.

The above illustrated Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil, Veronika Hankocyova: David Datzer (overall Horice lap record holder), Pierre Yves Bian, Amalric Blanc, Wayne Bourgeais, Jamie Coward, Julien Cregniot, Gerald Dath, Eddy Ferre, Jonathan Goetschy.

Rhys Hardisty, Gary Johnson, Erno Kostamo, Eric Lenser, Andrea Majola, Adam McLean, Timothee Monot, Davey Todd, Darryl Tweed. We are still awaiting, for example four-times Horice Supermono race winner Shaun Anderson, TT 2025 plans.*

* Leading man on the post for the 2025 Landshaag Hill Climb edition (12th-13th of April) is local hero Thomas ‘Uccio’ Altendorfer, well known to spectators at Horice, Stare Mesto and Dymokury.*

* Last year a permanent IRRC Supersport participant, Roman Bocek (seven times winner 300 Curves of Gustav Havel and former Horice lap record holder from 2000 to 2005) celebrated his 60th birthday in January.*

* Father and older brother of Moto 2 World Championship rider Filip Salac (Elf Marc VDS rider alongside Jake Dixon) Michal Salac Sr, Michal Salac Jr are on the historical sheet of 300 Curves of Gustav Havel race podium finishers.*

* IRRC Supersport regular Karel ‘Chupa’ Brandtner said about his racing plans for 2025, “See you in Horice!”*

* Reminder for road racing fans, dates for 2025 Horice meetings: 62nd 300 Curves of Gustav Havel (10th-11th of May), 32nd Czech TT/IRRC Horice (9th-10th of August).*
