Having returned to the TT podium finishers circle on Thursday alongside Jake Roberts, Dave Molyneux has made the decision to call time on Mountain Course racing expeditions.
Five decades a TT competitor, ‘Moly’ has had quite the storied, ultra successful career within the world’s most famous road race.
For years the yardstick for all three wheeling drivers, the Manxman is an inspiration to countless Sidecar TT racers.
Still holding the record for the most TT wins by a Sidecar competitor (17 victories), 31 times a rostrum finisher, he’s won TT’s uniquely using Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki engines.
He’s also dabbled in recent times with KTM power, when competing aside Daryl Gibson and Dan Sayle, whom he’s won four TT’s with.
Just by reading social media the comments, from Alan Founds, Ben Binns, Terry Holmes, Crowe Racing, the above featured Daryl Gibson, to gain a perception of just how respected he is.
Last week, rolling back the years, at 60 years of age, he obtained third in the second 3wheeling.media Sidecars race stint.
When you piece it all together, the wins, podiums, record speeds, engineering skills, he rightly stands as one of the TT’s all-time top exponents.
